Julie Morrow Jansen is a Texas native now making her home in Tennessee. She was accepted into the creative writing graduate program at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and plans to earn her Master of Arts in 2026, forty years after graduating from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Peruvian Views is her first novelette, and LOVE Stamp marks her debut novel. Two more novels are on the way: What I Missed (coming in 2026) and Landings (expected in 2027). Her happily ever after is truly timeless.
After retiring from a successful career in emergency management, Julie was able to return to her true passion, writing. Entering graduate school later in life wasn’t always the plan, but it quickly became clear that she was in the right place. Living in such a dynamic environment has helped her embark on the most productive period of her career. In her spare time, she enjoys getting outdoors and hiking the many beautiful natural areas around Chattanooga, always accompanied by her trusty companion, Etta, the 28‑pound rocket dog.
